Sliding system
Installation of door closer in sliding-door wardrobes
A door closer is designed to ensure smooth closing and locking-up of sliding doors. To ensure the efficient performance of the door closer, the door has to be within 20-60 kg. weight range and at least 700 mm wide.
Aristo aluminum doors and other similar systems (open handle – profile C) can use door closers both for left and right doors (L and R1)1.
For hidden handles (profile H) the direction of the door closer movement makes no difference.
In an assembled state a door closer is 8.5 mm over the top caster wheels; that has to be taken into consideration in calculating the gap between the door and the top track. Mainly it involves leveling the surface while mounting the bottom track.
A standard manufacturer’s gap is quite sufficient.
STEP 1
Mount the door closer onto the top frame of the door in any place. Pay attention to the indexing mechanisms (2). They have to face the spring.

- Profile C
- Top door frame
STEP 2
Mark the positions of the lock in an inactive position.
Before installing the door activate the door closer.
STEP 3
Mount the door on the tracks in “closed” position (the door closer will move the door to this position).
Mark the position on the top track identical to the mark that you earlier made on the top door frame.
STEP 4
Click the end of the door closer2 into the top track according to the marks. The door closer pin has to be placed from the side of the door closer lock. The door closer has to be fixed with a screw through a slotted opening3 (the 2mm-opening has to be made in the top track in advance). Then the door closer pin has to be shortened to prevent the top caster wheels from scratching on it. Cover it with a cap. The pin can break if not shortened sufficiently.
The end of the door closer has to be shortened to prevent the wheels from scratching on it.
The door closer is mounted. Now we close the door and run a preliminary testing. If everything is fine, then the door closer can be fixed with the screws 2.9x6.3 mm.
To mount a door closer on the doors with closed handle “H” the same steps (except for Step 1) has to be followed. The direction of the indexing mechanisms is opposite.
A door closer damper is adjusted for standard 20-60 kg. doors and usually doesn’t require additional adjustment. To slow down the damper the latch has to be slightly turned clockwise with a 4 mm. Allen key, and vice verse.
Mounting of strike plates for two-door wardrobes
Strike plates are used to stop the door movement in a certain position.
- Move the door to the necessary position and make a mark on the top track.
- Fix a strike plate inside the top track opposite the marked borderline.
- Marks are put on the reverse side of the door closer base
- For Aristo profile by force (either remove 0.5 from each side of the door closer flat side using a roller casing knife).
- In systems where the width of the top track is over 37 mm the slotted opening has to be exactly in the middle to ensure correct functioning of the door closer.
